Things I’m Loving Lately

Hi friends!

So you know how I was saying I’ve been feeling so much better lately?  I think I jinxed myself as yesterday I didn’t feel as hot.  I woke up with a headache and it pretty much stuck around all day.  I’m pretty sure it’s from over doing it the two days before.  I was just feeling so great that i pushed it a little harder than I should.  Nothing crazy just evidently a little more than this pregnant mama can take.  So I took it easy yesterday with only a few short walks.

I have a doctors appointment today which I’m looking forward to as I haven’t seen my little guy since a few weeks before Christmas!

Packing for a Paleo Road Trip

Packing for a Paleo Road Trip

As you know we just got back from a fun family vacation to Disneyland!

Rather than hop on a plane for a short, one hour flight, we decided to make it a 7 hour journey and drive.  I used to live in Southern Cali so have done the drive several times before.  While it’s not the most fun, it’s really not that bad.  Especially when you are prepared with lots of magazines, games and healthy Paleo snacks!

Nature Box + Vacation = Lifesaver!

My husband and I have always loved to travel. Before we had The Love Nugget we took the opportunity to vacation whenever we could. A long weekend on the coast , a week in Mexico or a quick trip to Tahoe if we could budget it, we did it!

Now that our family has grown and we have more responsibilities (AKA – The Love Nugget), it’s a little more difficult to just pick up and leave. Plus, let’s face it, spending long hours in the car or on a plane with a three year old is not exactly ideal. However, we definitely still enjoy our family trips and make them happen when we can. We just have to make sure we are a little more prepared for whatever hiccups might occur. Like when a certain little man is over tired, over stimulated, cranky and hungry!

Wonderful 2 years and Wonderfully Raw giveaway!

 Good morning!  

I can’t even believe I missed it but this past month marked two years for My Healthy Happy Home!  With everything that has happened in the past few months it slipped my mind and I didn’t really have a chance to celebrate or thank all of you for an amazing past two years.  I had to chuckle looking back at some of my first posts this morning and seeing how far I’ve come.  

An early recipe picture.  I’m no professional photographer but I think I’ve learned a few tricks to improve my photos 🙂 

I still have a long way to go but blogging is definitely something that always has room for growth or improvement.  This year I have some definite goals as to what I want to do with my blogging journey.  I just hope to find time to do them!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

I was a slacker yesterday and didn’t get a post up.  I didn’t have anything prepared, thought I would have more time in the morning to do one and just wasn’t in the mood to sit and type yesterday.  So I skipped a day, sorry I’m not sorry 🙂

Anyway, It’s been awhile since I did an actual full day of my eats so I thought I’d join in with Jenn today for What I Ate Wednesday and share my meals from yesterday.

WIAW – Whole30 Meal prepping addition

Morning friends!

I’m two days into the Whole30 and feeling good!

So far it’s not too bad since it’s not that far off from how I was already eating bu yesterday was a little tough.  I had a super early appointment then a lunch at a local farm hosted by Placer Grown and a later than usual outing for The Hubby’s flag football game.  I stayed strong and skipped on the wine, bread, dressing and fresh local feta cheese but that left me with a plate of arugula, a few pomegranates and pear slices.  Hmmm… needless to say I was a little hungry when we got home but luckily I had prepped a ton of Whole30 foods on Sunday so some quick, pre-mixed tuna salad was a lifesaver!

Speaking of Sunday food prep, I hear a lot of people who have completed the Whole30 saying meal planning and food prep was key to their success. Since I’ve had a lot of interest in how things are going and just an overall interest in the Whole30, I thought I’d share with you all that I prepped for the week.

Just a few marvelous things…

Happy Monday!

I’m starting the week off in a great mood as I’m feeling much better!  After several days of rest I’m ready to get back into my routine of fitness and fun with The Love Nugget!

Speaking of The Love Nugget, he’s been really pushing his limits with us lately especially this past weekend while at Gigi’s house for dinner.  He was a monster!  I’m sure it didn’t help that I wasn’t feeling 100% and my patience was slim to none but all the same he’s definitely trying to see more of what he can get away with lately.  Hoping this week since I’m feeling back to normal I’ll be able to give him some more attention and we can actually get out of the house to play.

Like I said though I’m starting today off in a much better, and more optimistic mood which is perfect for Marvelous in My Monday!
