Hi guys!

Hope you all had a wonderful Monday.  I spent the day cleaning and unpacking which wasn’t really ideal but had to be done.  This week is one of those that are going to be pretty crazy so I may be absent a day or two.

Gotta do what you gotta do 🙂  Today though I thought I’d share a yummy recipe we had a few weeks back.  One that includes an ingredient I don’t use as often as I should.  Pumpkin!  For some reason it’s just one of those ingredients I tend to only eat in the cooler months.  When October rolls around I jump on the bandwagon with everyone else rushing to the store to get all the pumpkin!

What I Ate on my Liver Detox

What I Ate on my Liver Detox

Hi friends!

In case you missed it, the other day I mentioned that I’m currently doing a liver detox (<– Affiliate link).  My naturopath recommended it and after my most recent miscarriage I figured why not.  Finding a full week where I didn’t have a lot planned was the most difficult part.  It’s recommended that you rest for the first few days as your basically fasting (besides the shake provided) and some people say they experience flu-like symptoms.  I didn’t really feel all that bad other than a major lack of energy and slight headache but still kept it pretty mellow Sunday and Monday.  Tuesday was the first day I could eat food!  Woo hoo!  Surprisingly when I woke up Tuesday morning and headed off to teach my 6:00am class I wasn’t hungry at all.  I thought I would be dying during that hour of teaching but felt fine and actually joined in on a few exercises.  Even after I got home I had little desire to eat but made their recommended smoothie for breakfast.

WIAW – Taco Burger Bites

Happy Humpday!

Hope you all had a great start to your week.  We’ve had a busy and rainy week so far.  Which is great since we are in dire need of rain.  Though I’m sure the small amount we got over the past few days is nowhere near what we really need.  We’ll take it though!

Today we have another busy day between teaching at The Studio (hopefully my class fills back up after everyone was gone over Spring Break!), running errands, then an acupuncture appointment for me in the afternoon.  I just started going a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it so far.  My main goal is obviously fertility but it just so happens that to treat the fertility region you also treat the lower back, digestive system, and liver all of which I could use some cleansing and opening up with.  Like I said I just started a few weeks ago so haven’t noticed any major differences but I will say those 40 minutes that I lay there in peace (no phone, no computer, no Love Nugget), are quite relaxing.  I’ve been practicing my meditation while there and feel like I’m making some good progress.

What I Ate Wednesday + Giveaway #3!

Happy Wednesday folks!

We’ve been enjoying another week of gorgeous weather here (sorry East Coaster’s) so have been spending as much time as possible outdoors.  Daily walks, park play, picnic lunches and evening walks.  Definitely been getting in a good amount of Vitamin D!
