Last week I posted about some natural ways I’m trying to boost my chance of getting pregnant and staying pregnant. I mentioned I’d be following up that post with a few more detailed ones on diet, supplements and fitness. So as promised here’s the first of the series starting with the best, the food!
I’m sure we’re all excited for the weekend. I know I am. Although we don’t have much planned I’m just looking forward to relaxing with the fam 🙂 Hopefully indoors where it’s nice and cool since we’ll be up in the 100’s again! How many days until fall?
We actually had a pretty mellow week which was nice for a change. Since I’m not teaching 6:00am at the Studio anymore I was able to get a few more days of sleeping in past 5:00 am. I also had some more time at home in the mornings which allowed me to get some cleaning and organizing done. Always feels good!
Today I’m sharing a few favorites per usual on a Friday and joining Heather to do so. I think it’s fun to see what other people are enjoying lately. So I always make sure to spend some time checking out the posts from fellow bloggers who also link up for the party. Make sure you keep reading this post in particular as I’m sharing a SUPER yummy, easy to make and in season fruit crisp.
It’s been a much slower paced week so far around here which has been nice. Although it’s been ridiculously hot again. So much so that I think people are hiding indoors and avoiding even leaving their houses. It’s been a slow week at Afterburn and yesterday no one showed up for my 8:30 class which was a bummer 🙁 I made the most of it by walking on the treadmill, and rowing with The Love Nugget since I had to wait around until my 9:45 class.
Hope you all had a wonderful Monday. We had a busy one which has generally been every day lately. The past few weeks have seemed extra crazy though. Between trying to study for the AFFA (which I took this past Saturday), subbing some extra classes, teaching 4 early morning classes and entertaining The Love Nugget All. The. Time. it’s been busy.
Especially in the mornings since two days I teach at 6:00 at The Studio then have an hour before I head to Afterburn to teach back to back classes. I don’t always want to drive all the way home in between so I’ve been packing a breakfast meal with me and heading to a coffee shop to eat in between.
Really? Already Fourth of July? This summer is just flying by! We actually don’t have big plans which is kind of nice. It’s supposed to be pretty hot so we’ll probably go to our towns parade in the morning, relax during the day, then hit up the fireworks show in the evening. Relaxing but fun!
Of course with most American holiday’s the day wouldn’t be complete without good food!
Here’s some recipes I’ve been eyeing to make for this years celebration 🙂
How is it seriously Wednesday already! I feel like we are still unpacking and cleaning then doing it again every week lately. All for fun stuff but still very tiring… All the same I’m popping in real quick to say hello and fill you in on some yummy eats lately. More specifically yesterdays meals as I join in with Jenn for WIAW!
Sorry for my absence yesterday. Like I said this week is tough with a lot to do and of course as my luck would have it, The Love Nugget came down with his first case of pink eye. Bound to happen right??? Anyway, the past few days I’ve had him with me 24/7 and he’s been pretty quaranteend. With the exception of running errands and a stop at The Green Boheme for lunch.
Hope you all had a wonderful Monday. I spent the day cleaning and unpacking which wasn’t really ideal but had to be done. This week is one of those that are going to be pretty crazy so I may be absent a day or two.
Gotta do what you gotta do 🙂 Today though I thought I’d share a yummy recipe we had a few weeks back. One that includes an ingredient I don’t use as often as I should. Pumpkin! For some reason it’s just one of those ingredients I tend to only eat in the cooler months. When October rolls around I jump on the bandwagon with everyone else rushing to the store to get all the pumpkin!
Hey guys! Man this week has been busy and only getting more so! Thank goodness it’s Wednesday already. Half way down!
Today I’m popping in real quick to share some eats from earlier this week and join Jen for her WIAW party 🙂
Most mornings we have time to make and eat breakfast before running out the door. I actually enjoy a hot cooked breakfast every day and don’t mind making something for the whole family. Most days… Some days I’m lazy, we’re running late, or I’m off teaching and The Hubby is home getting The Love Nugget ready.
For those mornings it’s nice to have a quick, healthy, protein packed breakfast that will keep us full until we have time to eat a regular meal.
