Apple Pie Protein Smoothie

Oh hey there!

Okay so I’m a horrible blogger.  Since having our little muffin man (a year and a half ago), I’ve been a slacker on blogging.  Well, let’s be real.  I just stopped.  Time, life, motivation, etc. got in the way.  BUT I’m back!  AND I’ve got some big goals for this year so stay tuned!!!

For now, I wanted to hop on and share a delicious, healthy, recipe with you all.

Apples are my jam for getting in some quick carbs.  Especially on high carb days like today where I busted my butt (literally) at the gym for leg day.  Working on those booty gains!  On strength days it’s important for me to get in some good carbs to re-fuel and assist in muscle building.  So I focus on foods like apples, oats, bananas, sweet potatoes etc. because bread and grains aren’t really my thing.

This apple pie smoothie though, is definitely my thing and should be yours too because it’s delicious!

Apple Pie Protein Smoothie

Apple Pie Protein Smoothie


  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tbsp. old fashioned oats
  • 2 tbsp. fat free cottage cheese
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup ice


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Seriously, give it a try.  You won’t be sorry and your muscles will thank you 🙂
