We are so lucky to live in a region where wine production is growing in popularity. Also lucky for us is that many of those producers are really good!
One of our favorite local wineries is Rancho Roble Winery which just happens to be about 10 minutes from us. They are known for their Barbera but also have some other really great wines as well.
Not to mention a gorgeous property to go sit and enjoy those wines at.
It was a VERY hot day but we kept cool in the shade while The Love Nugget played on the playground and we tasted their newly released 2013 Barbera.
There is so much for adults and kids to do at Rancho Roble which makes it our number one stop when it comes to enjoying some fun and wine!
Corn hole, bocce ball, jenga and a kids play structure.
Pair all those with some really good wine and you’ve got the ingredients for an afternoon of fun for all!
We walked away with a nice refreshing bottle of their chardonnay and of course will be back to pick up some Barbera soon!
If you’re in the Sacramento region, I highly recommend making the drive to Rancho Roble for some good wine and lots of fun! They are open Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 – 5:00. Make sure to taste the 2010 Barbera. It’s our favorite!
