A Day In Our Lives

A Day In Our Lives

Hi friends!

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a day in the life post.  AND I know I haven’t done one since our little squish was born.  So I figured I’d pop in and share a peak into our new lives.

I’m actually going to start this one at 2:00am since that’s when my day sort of started.

2:20 – The dog actually woke me up and I realized Squish hadn’t woken up yet.  Usually he wakes up around 1:00 to eat.  I went to the bathroom and still didn’t hear him so checked to make sure he was still breathing (because when you’re a mom you just do that) and then he woke up.  So he ate for about 20 minutes before going back to sleep.

5:00 – Usually the little guy wakes up around 4:30 to eat but my alarm went off at 5:00 to get ready to go coach and he still hadn’t woken up.  I actually had to wake him to feed him.

5:15 – After he ate a little, I pumped the other side while drinking a little coffee with callagen peptides.

6:00 – Coach and workout with my 6:00am class.

7:00 – Get home and hop in the shower while The Hubby gives Squish a bottle.

7:30 – Little dude wasn’t loving his bottle so one I had my smoothie made I fed him while drinking my breakfast.  I’m on a smoothie kick lately and love that it’s a great way to get in a lot of nutrients, calories, and lactation supporting foods.  This on had chocolate shakeology, spinach, oats, banana, flaxseed meal and coconut water.

8:00 – Throw on some make-up, pack up the boys and head out to take Buddy to the groomer.

8:45 – After dropping him off we go to the grocery store to get some early morning grocery shopping done while Squish sleeps.

9:15 – Run home to drop off the groceries then head to the park before swim lessons.

Yep, still sleeping!

10:00 – snack for me while I feed Squish and watch The Love Nugget’s swim lessons.

11:00 – Get home from swim and after unloading the boys get a call from the Groomers that Buddy is ready… So we head out again but make a pit stop at Target to get diapers first.

AND I forgot diapers… But I did get some new school clothes and shoes for The Love Nugget.  Speaking of that, have you seen the new Cat and Jack clothing line for kids?  It’s great and super affordable.  I snagged some cute stuff for Little Squish too even though he has WAY too many clothes.

12:00 – Pick up Buddy from the Groomers.

All cleaned up!

12:30 – Eat lunch while feeding the little guy.

1:00 – Hang with this guy while the other one rests upstairs.

1:30 – He gets tired and in the afternoons will only sleep on my chest.

2:15ish – The Love Nugget gets up from his rest and I attempt to put down Little Squish.  He sleeps for about 10 minutes before he realizes I’m not holding him and wakes up.  So I wear him while doing some activity books with The Love Nugget.

3:30 – Feed Squish again while the Love Nugget plays outside.

4:00 – Attempt to get some work done while Squish is sleeping in his swing but that doesn’t last long…

4:30 – While wearing squish again I start getting dinner prepared.  Foil packet veggies and fish.

5:15 – Hubby gets home and fires up the grill to cook dinner while I feed Squish again and get him to sleep.

5:45 – We eat dinner which was unfortunately not good.  The fish tasted funny so we defrosted some salmon cakes instead 🙁

6:15 – Finish up dinner and surprise!  Squish is awake and grumpy.  So I sit with him on the couch while The Hubby and Love Nugget clean up.

7:00 – Head outside to watch the boys play while I rock Squish on the rocking horse.

7:30 – Bathtime for the boys.  The Love Nugget showers on his own while The Hubby and I tag team Squish.

8:00 – Bedtime for The Love Nugget while I feed Squish again.

8:15 – Have a little snack while attempting to watch the Olympics.

BUT Little Squish seems to get fussy around this time so I end up taking him up to bed around 8:45.

He fusses while I get ready for bed then I top him off and he falls asleep round 9:15.  I transfer him to his rocker and then I’m out until 1:00 or 2:00 when Mr. Man wakes for his first feeding.  Then we start all over again!

I also am wondering how, if at all, the collagen differs form pure collagen hydrosylate, which I have been using for years.
