Somehow over the past few months, I’ve forgotten to share pictures of our nursery. Oops! I had honestly planned on doing so once we were finished with things then when that happened, I just plain forgot. Pregnancy brain followed by new mom brain 😉 So I’m just now finally getting around to sharing those with you all as well as some details.
When we found out we were having a boy, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the nursery.
I wanted cool colors with a pop of orange, cute little woodland creatures with some tribal accents.
Luckily there were TONS of ideas on Pinterest and I was able to find all sorts of pieces that went perfectly with the theme. Like the above wood sign from Hobby Lobby.
I love the shelves I picked up at Target to house a few baby books and accent pieces.
That little owl on the changing table is actually a night light that lets out the perfect glow for use in the middle of the night. Oh and the essential diaper warmer! A must have especially with boys as they tend to tinkle when coldness hits their nether region 😉
Also love this Big Brother frame I found on in Nelsons Gifts on Etsy.
Can’t wait to put a pick of The Love Nugget and Little Squish in there!
I knew I wanted a wall mural above his crib with a framed initial. The frame and Dream Big sign are from a local vintage shop. The letter I made, the little critter print was ordered from Zulily and everything else is from Hobby Lobby.
Early in my pregnancy I picked up a crib and changing table/dresser that I wanted to refinish. I chose Annie Slone Old White pain then antiqued it and waxed it with Annie Slone dark wax. It was definitely a process but not as bad as it sounds.
I found the perfect bedding set in an Etsy called Love Bug Baby Bedding and it was actually the inspiration for the color scheme in the room. Navy blue, grey and hints of orange.
It’s a super soft minky fabric and Little Squish loves to lay in his crib on the soft blankets 🙂 If you’re on the hunt for baby bedding definitely check out her shop! She has so many options and does amazing work!!!! AND that adorable mobile was made by my super talented Mother in Law.
Everything turned out just as I envisioned it. Calm, relaxing, and just the right amount of cuteness 🙂
