Hope you’re all having a great week so far! It’s been a busy week for us so far and a very tiring one. I’m not sleeping great these days as someone likes to have dance parties in my belly at 4:00am. Then last night another someone was up singing Star Wars at 4:30am…. Then we had concrete demo started at 7:30. Sorry neighbors and my pounding head!
Anyway, not complaining about the concrete demo. Means we’re one step closer to the backyard getting finished! We set up our fire pit last week but didn’t get the propane tank until just this past weekend. Someone was so excited to fire it up but of course, luck would have it a thunderstorm rolled in and it began raining shortly after we lit it. So we’ll have to try again for this weekend.
On another note, I’m almost 33 weeks pregnant! Which means we’re getting closer! As we get closer and the baby is taking up more room, my belly seems to get fuller faster. In the past few weeks I’ve noticed my appetite decreasing and some more aversions coming up 🙁 I’m super hungry in the morning but if I eat too much (at any point during the day) I’m literally sick. By the afternoons my belly is so full of just water, food, and baby that I have very little appetite. Anyway, I thought I’d give you a peak into a day of my eats lately for a What I Ate Wednesday Post!
1st breakfast 🙂 I’m usually awake by 6:00 at the latest. M,W,F I’m up at 5:00 to get ready for coaching the 6:00am class. T, Th I’m awake by 6:00 to either workout and/or get some work done. Regardless, as mentioned above, I’m usually a little hungry. So I keep some form of protein bite on hand like these yummy, simple ones that I enjoy with a cup of decaf coffee.
Second breakfast – I eat a second breakfast either after we get home from the gym or when The Love Nugget gets up.
This day was left over 21 Day Fix pancakes that I forgot to snap a pic of. They didn’t look as great as the cookbook pic but they were pretty good! I only managed to eat one with some fruit on the side before I was full.
Snack – On this particular day I went to Origin to work so had a slice of their banana bread which I’m addicted to and a half calf almond milk latte. Yes I had some caffeine and I’m pregnant. Remember that 4:00am dance party? I needed it!
Lunch – Most days we get home from school at 12:00 and The Love Nugget is starving so we both eat lunch. Lately though nothing really sounds good or I’m not very hungry so my lunch is either snacking on little things or a smoothie. On this particular day it was a delicious green smoothie bowl topped with homemade granola.
Made with 1/2 scoop vanilla shakeology, 1/2 cup frozen mango, 1/2 frozen banana, a large handful of spinach and almond milk.
Snack – Lately I’m exhausted after lunch and since The Love Nugget still takes a rest/nap each day, I’ve been using that time to rest myself. Some days I get in a short 20-30 minutes and sometimes I just rest. Either way, it’s nice to take at little time to relax. If I do nap, I tend to wake up craving something like cereal. I know, weird! This particular day I took a short nap but didn’t have time to throw together a bowl of cereal so whipped up a few smoothies for The Love Nugget and I to take on the road.
1/2 a scoop of chocolate shakeology, spinach, strawberries, ice and water.
Dinner – I’m so uninspired on dinners these days. Well, meals in general. Nothing ever sounds very good and I’m never really all that hungry by the time dinner comes around. This particular dinner was a quick, Bang Bang Paleo Shrimp over Cauliflower Rice.
Evening Snack – Almost every evening I tend to get a little hungry just before bed. I find that if I eat something with protein I’m full through the night. Lately I’ve been enjoying a small cup of Siggi plain yogurt with a few tablespoons of chocolate shakeology. Yum!
That’s it for a day of pregnancy eats! I honestly can’t wait to get my normal appetite back and enjoy things like salads, chicken, and less sweets! Soon 🙂
