Fun Gift Idea that will keep you Kids Entertained!

If you have kids you probably know how tiresome it can be trying to keep them entertained.  Especially if it’s cold, rainy, or maybe snowing outdoors so you’re stuck indoors…   On days like that we go tend to go through MANY different activities.  Reading, building legos, playing with race cars, play dough, painting, coloring, crafting, baking, on and on and on.  It can be a very tiresome day for mammas!

So finding something fun that will keep them entertained for more than an hour can feel like a victory for us tiresome moms.  Which is why I was stoked to learn about Fort Boards.  A fun, creative way for your kids to have endless adventures indoors or outdoors.

When we received our box filled with 20 square feet of fort building surface The Love Nugget literally jumped for joy.  Christmas packages have been arriving daily since I do most my shopping online but of course none have been for him to open right now.  So when he saw that this package was one for him and one we could open now, he was beyond the moon excited.

Of course, The hubby was too.  He loves building things and playing with his little man so his face lit up when he saw it was something they could do together.

Now together isn’t necessarily how I would describe the building process actually went.  The recommended ages for Fort Boards are 5+ and The Love Nugget is 4 1/2.  While he was able to assist this was definitely a project that The Hubby built.  He didn’t mind though as I said he enjoys building things and was thrilled to be able to play in his new Submarine Fort.  Especially since it had been a long, rainy day cooped up indoors.

Even Jingle our Elf on the Shelf got into the action and built a castle to perch upon one evening.

I think The Hubby might enjoy the Fort Boards even more than The Love Nugget does 😉  So not only is it a great gift idea for kids, but grown up kids too!
