Switch it up with Viva® Vantage® Paper Towels!

Did you know that you can use a paper towel to dry your hair,  to chill white wine or to strain grease from both?

I didn’t either until I learned about those and many more clever ways to switch up everyday tasks using Viva® Vantage® Paper Towels at a fun event I recently attended.

Last week I had the pleasure of joining a group of bloggers for a morning with Viva® Vantage®.

We spent a few hours learning about ways we could switch up our daily routine by usingViva® Vantage® Paper Towels in honor of their “7-Day Switch Up” campaign.  They are encouraging consumers to commit to a “7-Day Switch Up” and see why more people prefer the stretchy-strength of Viva® Vantage®.  Which just happened to recently be named a 2015 Product of the Year, over their current paper towel brand.

Here’s a few ideas you could easily add into your daily routine,

  1. Ditch the bulky colander in favor of a paper towel. Place veggies and fruit on a sheet of Viva® Vantage® paper towels under a running faucet to function as a strainer; the stretchy-strength will keep the towel intact when wet.
  2. Keep lettuce fresh longer by wrapping a paper towel around a head of lettuce to soak up excess moisture.
  3. Hand wash and dry wine glasses and other stemware using the cloth-like texture of Viva® Vantage® paper towels for a sparkling finish.
  4. Replace the need for a vegetable scrubber by using the great scrubbing power of Viva® Vantage® paper towels to properly clean mushrooms, potatoes, etc.
  5. Need to chill white wine quickly? Don’t dilute it with ice; wrap a damp paper towel around the bottle and put in the freezer to chill rapidly.
  6. Slip a damp paper towel under your cutting board to prevent it from shifting while slicing and dicing.
  7. Need to get that grime off your stove? The great scrubbing power of Viva® Vantage® paper towels allows you to clean the toughest messes and restore your kitchen’s shine.

At the event we were able to get hands on with the paper towels and really discover their powers.  From wiping up chalkboard paint during a fun craft,

to washing our glasses using Viva® Vantage® paper towels, we saw first hand just how great these handy towels can be for everyday tasks.

A few other fun things at the Viva® Vantage® party included an Italian Soda bar,

and a waffle bar which I thought was just the coolest idea even though I don’t like waffles!

After getting to play around with Viva® Vantage® paper towels, I headed straight to the store after to pick up a few rolls for myself.

We tend to use paper towels for many everyday uses like wiping up spills, cleaning windows, counters, as napkins etc.  However our big switch lately has been with our dogs.  We have two white dogs and are currently redoing our backyard.  So we basically have a large dirt pit right now which leads to two brown dogs…  I try to keep wipes or a towel by the backdoor to wipe them off when they come in but then I’m having to wash towels all the time and the wipes are too small.  A spray bottle and Viva® Vantage® Paper Towels scrubbing powers have worked wonders on keeping our little dirt lovers white and our house much cleaner 🙂

  1. Seems like a lot of waste. I’m not saying I don’t use paper towels but I try to use rags I can reuse whenever possible.

I definitely agree with your point. Unfortunately we are in a major drought in California so have to keep our water usage down as much as possible. This means limiting our laundry loads so using the paper towels in exchange for towel after towel to keep our dogs cleans has helped. They have been so dirty everyday that we literally go through two towels a day! But yes, if not in the drought I would be trying to use more towels…

  2. Completely agree with the above comment. One should not be contributing to excess waste, nor encouraging it, in a time when garbage continues to climb.

I definitely agree with trying to reduce paper usage. Normally I would be trying to do so more often but unfortunately we have been in a pretty severe drought so have had to majorly limit our water usage. Including laundry loads 🙁

  3. Hey Viva paper towels are the best for water color painting. I found that out when I was required to bring only Viva towels to a workshop class!
