Hope your week is off to a great start. I love/hate 4 day weeks. They are great for the obvious reason, the weekend is one day closer. However they can also be a struggle since I feel like I’m trying to play catch up all week long. Which is exactly how I’m feeling this week. Lots to do with a little less time. The reason I have so much to do though is because I’m heading off to Tahoe on Friday with my besties!
So excited and looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend with my two closest friends from high school.
I wouldn’t normally be so busy during the week but seriously the laundry and clean up from camping is never ending!!!
Worth it though 🙂

Bundling up in sweatshirts, beanies and gloves was so comforting and I’m definitely missing it as we came home to another week of 100+ degree temps 🙁
To stay nice and cool we’re back on the smoothie train and enjoying a nice, cold and refreshing daily beverage.
Yesterdays smoothie concoction was a spin off of an old favorite we used to enjoy.
- 1/4 cup old fashioned oats, dry
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3-4 pitted dates
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup almond milk, coconut milk or other milk option
- 1 cup ice
- Toss all ingredients into the blender, mix and enjoy!
It definitely hit the spot after a sweaty workout and hot morning walk with my boys 🙂
