At home shopping for kiddos with Moxie Jean

At home shopping for kiddos with Moxie Jean

Yesterday I was tired.  Like exhausted tired for some reason.  It could have had something to do with the fact that I woke up wide awake at 4:30 am.  Once I realized The Hubby had skipped the gym I headed out to the gym myself.  Then upon returning I forgot to drink a cup of coffee.  We rushed out the door to get to the Studio for my 9:15 class but no one showed up 🙁  Easter hang over maybe?

I really needed to go buy The Love Nugget some new clothes (major growth spurt recently) but decided to come home and relax instead.  It was significantly colder than it has been lately so I curled up on the couch with a hot mug of tea and did some online shopping.  Because what else do you do when you’re tired and don’t want to go out to shop?

I spent the majority of my shopping adventures on a website I’ve been loving, Moxie Jean ( <<–Affiliate Link).

I heard about Moxie Jean through my Affiliate relationship with The Sits girls and ShareASale about a month ago.   However, I hadn’t been able to find the time to sit and actually shop the website.  So a lazy day at home was the perfect time to do some online shopping for my little man 🙂

So, what’s Moxie Jean?  Moxie Jean is a community of moms helping moms. Started by two sisters who are also moms, they run the company the way they would want every company to be run – fairly, transparently, and by donating all unaccepted items to a charity that gives them away to families in need – instead of selling them to recyclers for pennies on the pound like other sites.

They have a wide range of kids and maternity clothing from newborn up to size 14 for kids.  Moxie Jean carries top brands like, Gap, Janie and Jack, Gymboree, Mini Boden, and Nordstrom just to name a few.

I don’t mind buying gently used clothes for The Love Nugget especially since he tends to get grass stains on his knees, food stains on his shirts and just plain dirty all the time.  So I’ve learned to purchase several items for his wardrobe that I won’t mind getting ruined.  Which is one reason I’m loving Moxie Jean.  Gently used clothing that is still fashionable but very reasonably priced.

I ended up buying three pairs of shorts (Gap and Old Navy) and three polo shirts (all Gap) for only $35!  Moxie Jean has great customer service reviews, offers free shipping on orders over $50, 100% money back guarantee and no-hassle returns.

Along with offering a ton of gently used clothing items for kids, they also have the option to resell your kids clothing.  You simply create an account, log on, order a bag then send in the items you wish to resell.  Once they receive your package (typically 7-10 business days) a team will inspect each item and decide what they’d like to purchase for their resell site.  You’ll then get an email explaining what they kept and you’ll have the option to:

  1. Receive Moxie money credit.
  2. Receive cash for the total amount they purchased.
  3. Donate the money to families who’s children are undergoing treatment at Lurie Children’s Hospitol.

That last ones pretty cool!

Oh and one last thing, they also now carry maternity clothing!

Which I’m sure will come in handy for me someday 🙂

  1. I’ve heard of Moxie Jean, but haven’t tried them yet. Sounds like a great deal! I just can’t get over how you forgot your coffee, though! 🙂
