Peppermint Patty Protein Smoothie with Puritan’s Pride

Peppermint Patty Protein Smoothie with Puritan’s Pride

Yes it’s December, pouring down rain and we’ve been decked in our wet weather gear the past few days.

But we’re still drinking smoothies!

To make them a little more seasonly appropriate we have just been drinking more festive flavors.  Gingerbread, pumpkin pie and my favorite holiday combination, chocolate and peppermint!

I enjoy this combo all through the year but since it’s so popular during the holiday’s I tend to take full advantage of that.  Adding peppermint extract and cocoa powder to my coffee, oatmeal, chia pudding and of course, smoothies!

Usually the combination is more on the unhealthy side.  Chocolate peppermint fudge, peppermint mocha’s, peppermint patties, etc.

However, this recipe combines the delicious flavors of chocolate and peppermint with bananas, stevia, Puritan’s Pride Peppermint Extract and Puritan’s Pride Protein Powder for Her.

Peppermint Patty Protein Smoothie

Peppermint Patty Protein Smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen banana slices
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop Puritan's Pride Vegan Chocolate Protein
  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp. Puritan's Pride peppermint extract
  • 1 cup coconut milk, almond milk or regular milk
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/4 tsp. stevia (optional)

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and mix away!
  2. Enjoy!

We enjoyed them yesterday for a snack while sitting in front of the fireplace listening to the rain 🙂

It’s not quite as comforting as a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate but it’s delicious and nutritious so a win in my book!

  1. Sounds yummy! I’m all about smoothies…year round! I do find myself craving and drinking them more during the warmer months, but the colder weather doesn’t stop me either. Favorite holiday flavors would have to be peppermint and cinnamon!

  2. That smoothie sounds so good! I haven’t made a smoothie months…I think it’s mostly because I’ve been without a blender!

  3. This sounds super yummy! I love peppermint! Can’t believe I haven’t actually broken open my bottle of peppermint extract yet this season.

  4. Haha I’m a year round smoothie drinker, too!

  5. This looks really nice! I love smoothies all times of year, too 🙂 All of my smoothies tend to have spinach, too. My kid sees smoothies and asks to drink it now haha. Pinning!

I probably put spinach or some form of greens in my smoothies 99% of the time. It’s just such a great way to get in some greens!
