This month is going to go by way to fast. I’m really trying to enjoy the most of it since like many others, I absolutely LOVE Christmas time!
Especially now that The Love Nugget is old enough to do more holiday activities and understand it a bit more. He’s really enjoying the Elf on the Shelf. So far and I have to admit it’s working to our advantage as far as him behaving better so the Elf will only report good things to Santa. Definitely thankful for who ever invented that!
Along with the Elf I’ve been trying to stay on top of doing fun Holiday activities each day from my 25 Days of Holiday Fun Check list!
Yesterday we enjoyed our lunch in front of the Christmas tree which was VERY exciting for one little man. It’s the little things that make him (and me) happy 🙂
Speaking of lunch, let’s talk about that and the rest of my meals from yesterday for this weeks WIAW with Jenn!
I’ve been eating the same thing for breakfast the past three days or so and am still not tired of it.
Actually, this was my last serving of roasted brussels, mushrooms and pancetta which made me sad 🙁 It’s so good under two over medium eggs! Along with breakfast I enjoyed a nice hot cup-o-joe with coconut milk. I also had a few raspberries and banana slices as I packed The Love Nugget’s snack.
After dropping him at school I ran to Target then home where I drank half a kombucha and snacked on a few more raspberries.
As I mentioned above, we enjoyed a “picnic” lunch in front of the Christmas tree yesterday. The Love Nugget had a grilled ham and goat cheese sandwich with soup and I had soup over sautéed kale.
I made a bunch of broth from our turkeys then threw in carrots, celery, white sweet potatoes, onions, left over turkey and some seasonings. It was delicious! I actually didn’t season it much since the turkey broth was so flavorful already!
After a big bowl of soup I had a few spoonfuls of this deliciousness,
This is so good! If you’re a coconut lover like me you’ll LOVE My Coconut Kitchen coconut butters!
My Coconut Kitchen has developed over 9 amazing coconut butter flavors that are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, low in sugar and Paleo friendly!
They offered to send me two flavors to try out and I had such a hard time choosing! I eventually decided on the Roasty Toasty – which is their top seller – and Espress-Oh-My Love.
I can see why the Roasty Toasty is a customer favorite. It’s so good! While I’m not typically a huge marshmallow fan this butter has the toasty flavor of a roasted marshmallow but is no where near as sweet. Which is why I liked it. Not to mention it’s creamy and of course packed with all the healthiness of coconut oil. The Espress-Oh-My Love wasn’t my favorite of the two but it was still good!
My Coconut Kitchen has offered to send one lucky winner two jars of their choice! Just follow the instructions in the rafflecopter below 🙂
It was pouring rain yesterday so we spent most the day at home in our cozies. The Love Nugget took a long nap so I was able to catch up on a bunch of stuff. After his nap we made cookies for a girls night while listening to Christmas music. They turned out really good but I forgot to take a picture or write down the recipe. Ooops!
I went to a girls craft night at a friends house to make these cute Christmas signs.
I think I’ll put it on my front porch but need to seal it first. My friend made a yummy taco bar so I served myself up a nice big taco salad and glass of wine. Or two 🙂
I also had one of those cookies we made earlier. I’ll definitely be trying to replicate that recipe soon!
