Paleo Coconut Chia Pudding

Paleo Coconut Chia Pudding

I know I’m not alone when I say I hate the dentist.

I mean, what’s enjoyable about it?  You have to sit there while someone you barely know picks around in your mouth.  Jabbing, stabbing, and prodding at your teeth.  Fun stuff right?  Its even more fun when you’re someone like me and have a history of weak teeth.  Hereditary evidentlly 🙁

I’ve had two root canals, several fillings, my wisdom teeth pulled and most recently a tooth extracted.  Let me tell you how much fun that was…

I know people dread root canals like the stomach flu but that tooth extraction was no joke!  Much worse than any procedure I’ve had done in the past.

Needless to say I was fairly sore from sitting there with my mouth open for two hours while the dentist cut away at my gums and broke apart my tooth.

Food didn’t sound good but the next day I was starving and knew I needed substance so the pain meds didn’t come right back up.

That’s where this came in.

It was cold, soft enough to chew, and easy to swallow.

Exactly what I needed.

What is it you might be asking?

Pudding!  Not just any pudding though, a Paleo Coconut Chia Pudding that is easy to whip up the night before so it’s ready to enjoy the next day.

  1. I cannot express to you how much I agree with that dentist photo. I need to go so badly, and am absolutely terrified. I don’t know what it is, but they just … well… like I said, that photo sums up my feelings exactly.

I have a feeling I’ll be enjoying that pudding soon (probably before my dreaded dentist trip). I love how easy it is, and I know for a fact that my kiddo would love it! Pinned 🙂

  2. How many servings does this make?

    • Giselle Schroer says:

It makes one good size serving. Could split it into two but it’s not quite enough for two regular servings in my opinion. I gave about 1/4 of it to my son 🙂

  3. I’m not a huge fan of the dentist either. (Luckily, I haven’t had any major problems, but it’s still not fun.) That coconut chia pudding sounds delicious though!

    • Giselle Schroer says:

I’m sure if I had perfect teeth I wouldn’t mind it so much but… that’s never been the case 🙁

  4. I’m so sorry you don’t like the dentist… did you know I’m a dental hygienist?? See, it would be better if you came to me! 😉

    • Giselle Schroer says:

I actually really like my dentist and my dental hygienist isn’t bad either it’s just my bad luck and the procedures I have to have. Never makes for a pleasurable experience 🙁 I’m sure it would be better if you were there though 🙂
