Fitness Friday

Yay for Friday!

TGIF! :)

Does anyone else feel like this today?  I think I’m extra excited one because it’s been a long week and two Auntie Gigi and Uncle Nony offered to watch The Love Nugget ALL NIGHT Saturday!  Which means the hubby and I get a date night out!  Woo hoo!  So excited!  Not sure what exactly we are going to do yet but there have been talks of going to watch Oz and out to dinner.  It’s been ages since we’ve been to a movie so that would be fun!

Before I forget, did you get a chance to check out my Lemon Blueberry Protein Bites at Fitmixer this week?  These have been a serious addiction this week. Love them!

Anyways, let’s talk about fitness this week.  I’ve got a great new arm workout and link to an awesome circuit workout for you today!

Saturday – This workout that I haven’t done in a while but it’s always a good one!

tone it up

Sunday – Rest

Monday – Stroller Strides + 45 minute elliptical

Tuesday – Boot camp + 4 mile run

Wednesday – Spin Class + this arm workout I made up to do at home

Thursday – This Circuit workout from She Rocks Fitness that definitely rocked!

LOVE this workout! I've done it twice in the past week. Great for your CORE! #FitFluential #PROOF #MOVE #sweatpink #sheROCKS #strongisbeautiful

Friday – Either an outdoor run this afternoon or elliptical workout.

Do you ever get frustrated with your shoes constantly coming untied during your workout?  To me, there is nothing more annoying than having my shoelaces untie or hitting your legs while I’m running or exercising.   So I was thrilled when Lock Laces offered to send me a few of their super cool new laces.

These laces are super easy to put in and once all tightened up, are guaranteed not to come untied.  Made from a strong durable nylon, they use a locking device to keep them from loosening.

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about the laces loosening up once I had them locked into place.  However, I’ve worn them through boot camp, Stroller Strides, and a Spin class without any need to tighten or adjust them.  Plus, I didn’t have any more of my annoying laces hitting the other foot or my ankles while I jumped around.  Love that!

This video shows you just how they work but they are extremely easy to use.

I can’t wait to use these when The Love Nugget gets bigger.  When I was teaching, I couldn’t stand seeing kids with their shoes untied but at the same, I disliked tying their dirty shoes all the time.  With these Lock Laces, I won’t have that problem with The Love Nugget and they are easy enough to teach him to use in the future!

They come in a variety of colors and package options but start as low as $7.99.  I definitely recommend them!

It was good! The special effects were pretty cool. I wouldn’t say it was amazing and I actually wish we would have seen Silver Linings Playbook but it was good. I think we were just excited to get out and about on a date!
