Fitness Friday + A Fun Playdate!

I’m finally beginning to feel better!  Woo hoo!  Yesterday I could actually hear a little better which is a huge improvement from what it’s been like.  Good thing too because I planned a play date at our house with a large group of kiddos.  Having lots of kids over always makes me realize how much more we need a bigger house!  It was fun though!

I set up an area where the kids could paint the heart magnets I made before Valentine’s Day.

I made a few snacks for the kiddos.

 Organic cheese cut outs, granola bites, and graham crackers

AND of course, wine for the mamas!

The Love Nugget was really pushing his luck and testing me more than usual which was interesting.  He wasn’t sharing, pushed one of his friends over, tried to knock over a large vase that he never touches, and when placed in a time-out (which he’s had before), screamed like someone was trying to kill him!  Which was really nice for my congested head 🙁  Anyways, it was interesting to see him acting like that and made me realize we need to get him together with other kids more often.

Even though yesterday I said my house normally looks similar to this picture below, I try to clean up before having guests over.  I learned my lesson though and next time will wait to really clean until after all the kids have left.  Talk about a tornado!

Ha!  No biggie, totally worth it for such a fun time and only took a few minutes to pick up.  Plus, The White Coyote enjoyed all the bits of food scattered all over the house 🙂

I actually enjoyed some great workouts this week but still didn’t feel like I was getting in as much as I’d like to.  I swear I can feel my muscles shrinking with everyday 🙁  Anyways, here’s what my week looked like.

Sunday – 7 mile run on the treadmill (felt awesome!)

Monday – 30 minutes on the Stair Stepper (the one with the moving stairs… not sure what it’s called) + Body pump class

Tuesday – Boot camp and 45 minute elliptical

Wednesday – Spin Class

Thursday – Stroller Strides Class

Friday – Fitmixer Boot camp

Today we are off to gymnastics, running a few errands and then home to wait for Grammie to arrive.  Not sure what our weekend entails but probably lots of fun!  It’s been pretty cold here the past few days so hoping the weather warms up a little so we can enjoy some outdoor time.

  2. Hmmm . . . I can’t decide if my favorite workout this week was my strength training legs day, or this morning’s run. Both felt fabulous! Happy Friday!

    Eee, those all look so fun for the kiddos to do! Wow, you did really great with your workouts for not feeling the best! I literally did like nothing haha. My stomach wasn’t happy when I tried spin. At all. I managed like 20 minutes before I had to call it quits haha.

      When I had the stomach but a few months ago I wasn’t able to do much activity for a few days. It was horrible! With this head cold I actually felt better when I was exercising. Cleared my head 🙂 Although, it might have made it stick around a little longer 🙁 Hope you’re feeling better!
