Fitness Friday #18 with two winter workouts

by Giselle Schroer on December 21, 2012

Happy Friday!

I can’t believe Christmas is so soon!  We actually start celebrating this Sunday with my family then continue from there.  Lots to get done still but so looking forward to spending time with all our families :-)   Unfortunately, the Love Nugget and Hubby are still sick :-(   I feel so bad for them both and am trying to stay healthy by taking extra vitamins and keeping busy.

Since the Love Nugget was sick all week, we didn’t get to go to the gym at all.  So I did more on my elliptical and a few circuits at home or early morning at the gym.  I actually like going early since there are less people and more free weights.  Plus, I’m a get it over with early type of person.  Love having the rest of the day especially when I’ve got so much to do!

Saturday - This awesome circuit treadmill workout I made up at the gym

brr1

Sunday - Rest

Monday - Fast 15 minute run, 15 minute row then this great circuit I made up as I went.

tone it up

Tuesday - 45 minute elliptical with 25 sit ups and 25 push ups every 10 minutes (I so wanted to go to boot camp but the Love Nugget was sick)

Wednesday - A combination of two at home Cross fit workouts from The Acsent blog

Warm-Up:

2 Rounds:

10 Burpees

10 Air squats

10 Push-Ups

Across the body shoulder stretch, hold 60 seconds each side Arm circles, 15 revolutions each direction (forward and backward) Pigeon stretch, hold 60 seconds each side Butterfly stretch, hold 60 seconds Trunk rotations, 15 reps

Then… 10 more Burpees

WOD: 15 minute AMRAP (work for 15 minutes, doing as many rounds of the following as possible)

10 Horizontal Jumps over your broom/bar/object (So you will jump over it from side to side, not front to back, counting each side)

20 Lunges, count each side

30 Push-Ups

40 Bicycle crunches, count each side

Crab walk to the other side of the room and back

I still wanted a little more after that WOD so I did this as well…

30 second forearm plank hold
10 Burpees
45 second forearm plank hold
20 Mountain Climbers, count each side
60 second forearm plank hold
20 sit-ups
45 second forearm plank hold
10 Burpees
30 second forearm plank hold

After so many push-ups, burpees and planks, my arms were shaking!

Thursday - 1 hour on the elliptical 5 minutes at resistance 6 5 minutes at resistance 10/11.

Friday – This treadmill workout from Blonde Ponytail

Out of the Box CrossFit WOD - Blonde Ponytail

If I were better at baking, I would do it more. But I think I’m more talented in the cooking department. :) Hope everyone’s feeling better in your household soon–Happy Friday!
